It is 2019, and our mind is consistently in the vicinity of pressure and workload.

With technology surrounding almost every aspect of our life, I should not be wrong if I say ‘hacks and tricks’ are synonymous to ‘boon’ in today’s technical world.

This aired thought in my mind to write about Instagram hacks and tips that you might not be knowing and should start using today.

Although, there are hundreds of Instagram tips and tricks that I could list down, let’s keep it short and simple for today and learn three Instagram hacks and tips you might not want to miss use of.

So without further ado, let’s get down to the business and learn new hacks:

Hack 1- Story Background Color as You Want

Newbies (sometimes even experienced users) on Instagram often use just a black background for their stories that they create by clicking in dark or clicking pictures of anything by covering the Instagram camera.

People often underestimate the power of stories for growing your brand. But like I said in my earlier posts too that stories, if used properly, can exponentially scale up your Instagram engagement rates that ultimately result in more conversion of sales.

Let’s say you use the same background for your every Instagram story, be it a story about a promotional event, a personal message, or any big announcement. It becomes quite boring when your followers see the same background in every picture of your story. Hence, your followers tend to spend less time on your stories or sometimes skip it as a whole.

You may wanna ask now- So how to change the background with whichever color I want?

Does anyone know out there?

Jake knows how to do it.

Jake-“Just click any picture from your Instagram story camera and click on the pen (second icon from the right at the top of the screen). Select any color from the option tray and paint the whole screen.”

Well…Sorry Jake, but if I had to do it this way, I would rather have not done it.

The process above is so time-taking that one might do it once, but no one would color the entire screen over and again every time they want to post a story.

Fortunately, we have a shortcut that got you covered in doing this process.

• Click the picture from your Instagram story camera.
• Click the pen on the top of the screen (second option from right).
• Select the color from the tray and long press the screen.
• Now your background is of the same color that you selected from the tray.
• Customize your story further if you want, and share your beautiful story with your followers.

HACK 2: Turn On the Post Notifications

This feature of Instagram comes in use especially for those who are a diehard fan of someone and don’t want to miss any of their posts.

People even use this for contests which are run by Instagrammers nowadays where you have to comment first and enter the giveaway.

Whatsoever be the reason for you, this feature is something that you might not wanna miss.

How to do it?

• Open any of the post of the account you want to turn on notifications of.
• Click on the three dot icon on the top of the post.

• From the tray of options, click “Turn On Post Notifications”.
• Now Instagram will notify you within seconds after one posts (Like in the picture below).

HACK 3: Unsend Sent Messages

Be it Whatsapp or any other texting app, one feature that Instagram excels better at is unsending messages even after it was read. In Whatsapp, you cannot unsend after it’s seen and even if you unsend it before someone saw it, it shows that the message was deleted that puts you in suspicion.

While on the other hand, on Instagram you can unsend all the messages even after it was read by the reader.

The best part is, it doesn’t notify that you unsent the message.

How to do it?

Easy as pie!

Long press on the message you want to unsend.

It will show two options- “Unsend Message” and “Copy Text“.

Click on “Unsend Message” and your message disappears from the chat.
