As this coronavirus thing got worse recently, there have been a number of efforts by the governments and many authorities to boost up people’s motivation and curb the negativity that aired all around.
Moreover…
When it comes to backing up perseverance, no one deserves it more than the health officials and policemen who are working continuously 24/7 putting their lives at stake just to save YOUR LIFE.
Countries came forward with their unique ways to show their appreciation for the people on the front lines.
Some people clapped as a gesture of their appreciation, while others were noticed burning candles staying at home to spread the light of positivity.
That being said, Instagram too fathomed the necessity of bringing something new that helped people show their support for people in the front line.
It is, for this reason, it recently rolled out a ‘Thank You’ Sticker for Instagram users to show their gratitude for what’s helping YOU to get through this time.
Stories shared using ‘Thank You’ sticker would be visible in the shared Instagram story where your friends and followers can see your appreciation for the front-liners.
It is pretty much like the “Stay Home” sticker where the stories are grouped in a shared Instagram story.
Another shift that Instagram took recently was in the direction of helping small business through gift cards and delivery orders.
The CEO of Instagram, Adam Mosseri says – Small businesses are such an important part of our community and many are facing immense challenges during this crisis. Today we’re making it easier for you to support businesses you love through gift cards, food orders, and fundraisers.
The deteriorating condition during this pandemic has forced the authorities to close all the malls, businesses and industries.
However, it was small scale businesses that suffered the most during this phase. A few among those even completely vanished from existence.
It is for this reason Instagram rolled out this new sticker following which Instagram users would be able to use this sticker for making online food orders, buying gift cards, and donating via fundraiser to support the businesses they love.
On the other hand, Businesses too can share gift cards, food orders, fundraiser stickers in their stories according to their niche and services they offer.
So…
From now on when YOU view a story via a business using gift cards or food orders stickers, YOU can tap on it to complete the purchase through Instagram’s partner site.
As far as fundraisers are concerned, they would open on Facebook to a personal fundraiser that was created by business owners or their supporters.
The gift card and food order for delivery and takeout are currently only available for users based in the US and Canada; however, Instagram confirmed that it would roll out globally in the coming weeks.
Although the new effort from Instagram wouldn’t make up the loss that these small businesses are bearing, it would at least bring a light of hope for small businesses to continue persisting rather than completely shutting down their doors forever.
Instagram is continuously persisting in its efforts to neutralize the intensity of the situation by bringing in new features and updates every day.
A recent among them was “ISTAYHOME” sticker that one can find by tapping on Stay Home sticker to share who they are protecting by staying at home.
Claps for Instagram!!!
