Instagram Story is something that has prevailed throughout the platform right from the day it was rolled out.
Although, launched in competition to the rival app Snapchat, the spike in graph of users on the Instagram platform following the rollout of Instagram stories is ridiculously unbelievable.
As of recent stats, more than 500 million stories are shared on the platform; which proves of the efficacy of the stories feature on the Instagram platform.
I mean…
It’s 2019!
And, everyone shares stories nowadays!
From a girl in Cape Town, to the clothing store in California.
You just name it!
There are chances that you might not find many posts on a user’s profile, but the number of stories users share are always higher.
Bhavna shares it, so does Ronaldo.
Although the purpose stands different for each individual.
Some do it for sharing their moments they are up to, while the rest are the business accounts that use Instagram stories for promoting brand.
And since we mentioned about ‘promoting brands’ on the Instagram platform, the importance of cross-promotions on parent company Facebook is something that could not be kept aside.
Cross-promotion is prevailing throughout social media!
People promote their brand on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest so as to increase their brand authority and credibility besides reaching a wider mass.
It gives them audacity!
And when it comes to promoting via stories, chances are, sometimes you might change your mind and you have to delete your stories.
Well…
If users need it, Instagram always gets them covered.
It is for the reason, Instagram is thinking of incorporating such a feature that is currently in testing pool.
According to reverse engineer Jane Manchung Wong, Instagram is testing a feature that would enable Instagram users to delete stories on all the Facebook platforms.
As seen in the picture above, users would have the options to either delete the stories only on Instagram platform, or ‘Delete Everywhere’.
In the event, if a user clicks on ‘Delete Everywhere’, their story would be removed from all the Facebook platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, etc) where it was uploaded.
Although the update would not impact much on common users who use only Instagram for sharing their moments, the ease it would give to the brands to delete their stories across all their pages is absolutely amazing.
We can say it is more a ‘brand feature’ than a normal feature as it would be used mostly via major brands who cross-promote on multiple Facebook platforms.
Although there are not any public announcements yet, things are still up in the air if this would even roll out.
And since many of the Wong’s findings turned out true later in previous cases, Instagrammers are eagerly expecting its roll out this time too.
So let’s see if it makes it to the global platform, or vanishes within the blog stories.
