For example: If you have a fashion Instagram, reach out to other fashion Instagram accounts and talk with them. Be comfortable with other people in your targeted area and it will lead to long term growth opportunities. Remember, you are not alone on this journey, it is highly suggested you reach out and make allies.

If you don’t have a schedule posting schedule, you are fighting an uphill battle to success. In order to attract and maintain your followers you have to post on a certain schedule and be consistent. Whether consistency for you means: once a day, three times a day or 5 times a day. Whatever that may be, being inconsistent with your posting will lead to inconsistent growth and consistent frustration.

All the successful Instagram pages all share one similarity: their content is engaging. By engaging I mean post any content that generates the following reaction: laughter, questions and tagging others. These 3 criteria have been at the forefront when it comes to generating long-lasting followings on Instagram. Not only will you acquire new followers, but you will retain the old ones and always have them engaged which at the end of the day is priceless.

Make sure you come up with a clear Instagram strategy before you begin your journey towards success. Nothing is worse than just blindly posting content and praying that somehow it will land in front of your desired eyes. Plan out the following: your target audience, what content they like, variety (videos/pictures) and key hashtags. Setting up a social media strategy pre-launch is half the battle.
